A Look Into Your Vascular Health

A vein ultrasound helps us understand what is happening within your veins. At Florida Lakes Vein Center, we use a safe, noninvasive test to properly diagnose vein disease.

During your vein ultrasound in Fort Myers, we evaluate the structure of your veins and how blood moves through them. This helps us detect valve problems, blood flow changes, and other signs of vein disease.

How a Vein Ultrasound Works

After applying a gel to your skin, your provider places a handheld vein ultrasound tool (transducer) on the treatment area and glides it across your skin. This tool uses sound waves to create images of your veins and blood flow.

Using this device helps us identify damaged valves, blocked veins, or signs of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).
